We RAP (Rise and Prosper) is a transformative program dedicated to guiding foster children towards becoming responsible and prosperous adult citizens. Our mission is multifaceted, focusing on comprehensive development through a blend of mentoring, training, educational support, and practical life skills.
Mission of We RAP:We RAP is committed to empowering foster children with the tools and opportunities they need to thrive. Our approach includes:
1. Mentoring and Training:
- Partnering with existing mentoring programs to integrate children into their framework.
- Implementing a specialized mentoring and training program for middle and high school students that complements local initiatives. This program is tailored to help them manage school and life while formulating an action plan for their future beyond 18.
2. Educational and Professional Support:
- Assisting in job placement, scholarship acquisition, skill trade training, and fostering entrepreneurship.
- Offering employment opportunities in various sectors such as administrative, construction, retail, and hospitality.
3. Long-Term Support and Housing:
- Providing housing options and assistance to participants in the program, extending up to age 30.
